Peer Review Process

International Journal of Advanced Multidisciplinary Studies and Innovation (IJAMSI)

Overview

The International Journal of Advanced Multidisciplinary Studies and Innovation (IJAMSI) follows a rigorous, fair, and transparent Double-Blind Peer Review Process to ensure high academic standards, research integrity, and unbiased editorial decisions.

All submitted manuscripts undergo thorough evaluation before publication.

Review Model

IJAMSI uses a Double-Blind Peer Review System, meaning:

  • Reviewers do not know the identity of the authors.
  • Authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.

This ensures objectivity and fairness in the evaluation process.

Peer Review Workflow

Step 1: Submission Screening

Upon submission, manuscripts are evaluated by the editorial office for:

  • Relevance to journal scope
  • Compliance with author guidelines
  • Ethical standards
  • Plagiarism screening
  • Completeness of submission

Manuscripts failing to meet requirements may be returned or rejected at this stage.

Step 2: Editorial Assignment

Eligible manuscripts are assigned to a Handling Editor with relevant subject expertise.

Step 3: Reviewer Selection

The Handling Editor appoints at least two independent expert reviewers based on:

  • Subject expertise
  • Research background
  • Publication record
  • Absence of conflict of interest

Step 4: Review Evaluation

Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:

  • Originality and novelty
  • Methodological soundness
  • Scientific quality
  • Clarity of presentation
  • Contribution to multidisciplinary research
  • Ethical compliance

Reviewers provide detailed comments and recommendations.

Step 5: Editorial Decision

Based on reviewer feedback, the Editor may decide:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

Authors are notified through the OJS system.

Step 6: Revision Stage

Authors must submit revised manuscripts addressing reviewer comments point-by-point.

Revised manuscripts may undergo further review if necessary.

Step 7: Final Decision and Publication

After final approval:

  • Manuscript is formatted
  • DOI is assigned
  • Article is published online

Review Timeline

IJAMSI aims to complete the review process within:

2–6 weeks, depending on manuscript complexity and reviewer availability.

Authors are notified promptly in case of delays.

Ethical Standards in Review

Reviewers must:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Provide unbiased and constructive feedback
  • Declare conflicts of interest
  • Avoid using unpublished material for personal research

Editors ensure ethical compliance at all stages.

Plagiarism Screening

All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before peer review.

Manuscripts exceeding acceptable similarity limits may be rejected or returned for correction.

Appeals and Complaints

Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a justified request to the editorial office.

All complaints are handled in accordance with journal ethics policies.

Reviewer Recognition

IJAMSI acknowledges the contribution of reviewers in maintaining academic standards and may publish annual reviewer acknowledgments.
